A few days ago I noticed that when trying to connect to the jQuery site, Firefox would load forever to ultimately tell me that it failed (Connection reset). A quick check in Chrome showed me there was no issue with my connection. The problem was more… odd.

After some peeking around, it turns out I was not the only one with the issue. As usual, many people with the same problem means someone has a workaround. Lo and behold, here it is. According to some, the problem had to do with the Quick Locale Switcher. However, do not let that stop you from reading on, because I do not have that plugin and still had the issue. All you have to do is navigate Firefox to

about:config

Find the

intl.accept_languages

key and reset its value by right-clicking on it and selecting “Reset”. Now you should have no more issues with opening the jQuery site.
